By using VoteCraft ("the Platform"), you agree to the following terms. VoteCraft provides a civic engagement platform that connects users with nonprofit organizations and indie game developers through bundled donations.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use VoteCraft. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent.

Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information and to update it as necessary. VoteCraft reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

VoteCraft Coin (VC)

VC is a loyalty points system, not a cryptocurrency or security. VC has no cash value outside the VoteCraft platform except through the cash-out mechanism described below. VoteCraft reserves the right to modify earn rates, redemption values, and program rules at any time with reasonable notice.

VC Redemption

• Game redemption: 100 VC = $1.00 off VoteCraft game purchases. Maximum 400 VC ($4.00) per transaction.
• Direct purchase: $10 = 1,000 VC. VC purchased directly is redeemable at full value on games.
• Cash out: Minimum 500 VC required. Cash redemption is at 50% of face value (500 VC = $2.50).

Donations

Donations made through VoteCraft are processed by third-party payment providers (PayPal, Venmo). VoteCraft is not a nonprofit organization. The platform fee (5% of donations after the game bundle price) supports platform operations. Donation receipts are provided by the receiving nonprofit, not by VoteCraft.

Altruism Tags & Badges

Tags and badges are permanent, non-transferable digital identifiers tied to your account. They have no monetary value and cannot be sold, traded, or exchanged.

Limitation of Liability

VoteCraft is provided "as is" without warranty. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to VoteCraft in the 12 months preceding any claim.

Modifications

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of VoteCraft after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email or platform notification.

Information We Collect

• Account information: Name, email address, profile preferences
• Transaction data: Donation amounts, nonprofit selections, game purchases, VC balances
• Usage data: Pages visited, features used, interaction patterns
• Device data: Browser type, operating system, IP address

How We Use Your Information

• Process donations and VC transactions
• Maintain your altruism tag profile and badge progress
• Improve platform features and user experience
• Communicate updates, receipts, and account changes
• Prevent fraud and ensure platform security

Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Payment processors: PayPal/Venmo to process donations
• Nonprofit partners: Your name (if privacy setting allows) and donation amount
• Legal requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights

Your Privacy Controls

You control what others see through your Profile privacy settings:

• Show or hide your name (appear as "Anonymous")
• Show or hide your patron badge
• Show or hide your altruism tags

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Transaction history is retained for 7 years for tax and compliance purposes. You may request account deletion by contacting support.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and preferences (including dark/light mode). We do not use third-party tracking cookies.

Children's Privacy

VoteCraft does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
